Fresh Salmon Burgers

So, tonight we had a craving for hamburgers… but without beef hmmmmm… As strange as it sounds salmon burgers are actually very good and even the picky eater (my son) ate it like candy. Made French fries to go with it and our homemade bread, pickles, Mayo, and mustard.

Soy-free Mayonnaise

After trying the other Mayo recipe, I did not have high hopes for  this. To my surprise, it is almost an exact replica! It taste really good. I used a turkey baster to put the oil in the blender for what seemed like forever!

Stuffed Bell Peppers, Turkey

Now that turkeys are on sale we are stocking up. I have cooked 2 turkeys this week so far and plan to do another one. We bake them then grind the meat in the food processor for ground beef replacement, and boil the bones down for turkey broth to replace veggie and beef bouillon. SO… I have been thinking and looking for ways to use it in new and exciting ways.  I have not had stuffed bell peppers in a long time and they sounded good, so here it is.

Cauliflower with Cheesy Polenta

This was good and it is “safe” for the whole household, although next time I will cook it longer. The cauliflower was a bit crunchy still.  It was also kind of bland and needed more salt. It was good change from the boiled/steamed cauliflower that I am used to.
