    After trying the other Mayo recipe, I did not have high hopes for  this. To my surprise, it is almost an exact replica! It taste really good. I used a turkey baster to put the oil in the blender for what seemed like forever!

  • Mayonnaise Substitute

    Well, this one did not turn out as well as I thought it would. Evidently soy milk and cow’s milk both gel when used in this recipe, but Almond milk is too watery and doesn’t. It tastes OK but makes the dish watery.

    Once again I was looking for another way to cook salmon other than the default and came across this recipe at cooks.com. But as always I modified it slightly. It was really good! I served this with brown rice cooked in turkey broth, and sauteed cucumber.

    Now that turkeys are on sale we are stocking up. I have cooked 2 turkeys this week so far and plan to do another one. We bake them then grind the meat in the food processor for ground beef replacement, and boil the bones down for turkey broth to replace veggie and beef bouillon. SO… I…

  • Cauliflower with Cheesy Polenta

    This was good and it is “safe” for the whole household, although next time I will cook it longer. The cauliflower was a bit crunchy still.  It was also kind of bland and needed more salt. It was good change from the boiled/steamed cauliflower that I am used to.
